“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come up you…” Act 1:8

When I was a kid, I did not know how to allow God to lead and transform me. When I heard about “The Holy Spirit”, I think of a ghostlike “Casper” or a mysterious Star Wars ‘Force’ instead of the 3^rd Person of the Trinity. But now, I understand that Holy Spirit works like a magnet. He has power to do big things without being seen by out physical eyes. This is how it works.

A magnet can move a little car from one end of a cardboard to the other end, like a magic. Just place the magnet under the cardboard, right below the metal car. Amazing isn’t it? The magnet can’t be seen by others, but you know that it is there because you can see the power of the magnet working on the metal car, guiding it across the cardboard.

Do you know that we can have a power within us that will guide us in our lives like the magnet guided the toy car? That power comes from the Holy Spirit. When we decide to follow Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives. We can’t see Him, But we know that He is there because we can fell His power and see Him working in our lives. He is guiding and leading us to the place GOD wants us to be.

Remember the secret: the car has to be close to the magnet before it feels the effect of its power. You and I have to stay close to GOD before the power of His Holy Spirit can work in our lives. The closer we are to GOD, the more we feel the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let’s Pray and thank GOD for sending the Holy Spirit to be our guide.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to guide us in the way you want us to go. Help us to stay close to you, so we can feel your power working in our lives. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
